Built on the highest point in Katoomba with panoramic views of the World Heritage area, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre features the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery and World Heritage Exhibition.



Into the Blue (the Blue Mountains World Heritage Exhibition) is devoted to education about the distinctive environment, history and culture of the Blue Mountains region.  It  features high-tech interactive exhibitions exploring the natural as well as social landscape of this unique area.

Audiences are invited to navigate their way through these stories through an immersive exhibition experience, introducing them to the richness and wonders of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area.


The Blue Mountains City Art Gallery features quality, curated, local, regional and major touring exhibitions.

The Cultural Centre building is also home to Katoomba Branch Library.

The Cultural Centre showcases innovative, diverse, distinctive and creative cultural programs for enjoyment by visitors to the Blue Mountains.
